VERTIX 2 can communicate simultaneously with all five major satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and Beida). It even offers dual-frequency satellite communication - an express route for a faster and better signal, this was only previously available in aeronautical products. VERTIX 2 brings huge improvements to GPS rendering when navigating between tall buildings, deep in the woods or along rock walls, these were obstacles largely problematic for previous generations of GPS watches.

By zooming in and out of the map using the digital dial or dragging the map using the highly sensitive touch screen, VERTIX 2 offers the best navigation experience on your wrist.

Don't stress

Thanks to the VERTIX 2 ECG (electrocardiogram) function, you can use the watch to measure heart rate variability (HRV) directly from your wrist. HRV is an ideal metric for measuring your body's response to stress as well as its ability to recover. The COROS system converts each individual HRV into an easily comparable metric from athlete to athlete.

Case material: titanium

Compass - digital

Pedometer

Sensor sports feature using a built-in triaxial accelerometer. The step counter can be started manually, or it starts automatically when recording a walk or run. The display shows the total number of steps and the number of steps per hour, with a target setting of 1,000 to 50,000 steps available, accompanied by a sound alert. The watch face also indicates your walks progress with a lack of activity alert.

Landscape maps

Landscape maps provide information about streets, major road networks, natural features, and waterways. They don't contain points of interest (shops, bars, schools, etc.)

ECG measurement

Check how your heart is working. The ECG function uses a combination of an optical sensor and an electrocardiogram. The measurement process takes around 30 seconds. You can view the recorded heart rate graph on a connected smartphone.

Training functions

A comprehensive set of useful features includes a display for distance travelled, speed, speed of movement and a number of other values calculated based on a combination of data obtained from GPS and accelerometer. Features provide an overview of time (elapsed time, lap time, lap length, average speed), altitude (cumulative ascent, cumulative descent, ascent/descent speed), calories burned and heart rate.

VO2 MAX

VO2 MAX, or even the maximum rate of oxygen consumption is one of the most important erobic performance indicators. It is reported as a relative rate that indicates the amount of oxygen consumed in millilitres per kilogramme of body weight per minute. The higher the value, the more oxygen enters the muscles.

Altimeter

Barometric sensor records the atmospheric pressure from whitch an altitude is calculated. The altimeter can measure elevation of up to 10.000 meters above sea level.

Water resistance: 100M/10ATM

Watches marked with water tightness 100M/10ATM are designed for swimming and snorkeling and free diving without breathing apparatus. 100M/10ATM indicates the degree of water resistance standardized by ISO 6425. Crystal: sapphire

Sapphire glass in the watch was made in a laboratory by melting aluminium oxide (Al2O3) in the presence of hydrogen and oxygen at 2000 °C. After crystallisation into the corundum 'pear', it's cut and further processed into the desired shape and size. Sapphire glass is the hardest glass used in watches. It would be second behind diamond on the scale of mineral hardness, so it can only scratched by diamond. Its only disadvantage is its fragility.
