The California brand Guess was founded in 1981 by Moroccan brothers Paul and Maurice Marciano. The main selling item in their first boutique in Beverly Hills was and still is denim goods. Guess denim was revolutionary at the time - softer, lighter and coloured differently than usual. The originality and creative approach were inherent in every Guess product, and the Marciano brothers were aware of their qualities. The incredible demand for the brand's products required an expansion in capacity in 1983. In the same year, the founders sold half of the company to Jordache, and this step is accompanied by the launch of the first Guess watches. Like handbags, jewellery and sunglasses, Guess wristwatches are aimed primarily at female clients. Everything is adapted to girlhood and wearable elegance - from working with materials to the trendy image that Guess watches create around themselves and their owners. Highly sought-after models combine the attractive appearance of steel cases with often slightly extravagant dials and classic leather or steel straps. Japanese quartz watches can be equipped with a chronograph or a multifunctional date.
