The G-Shock watch is one of the most popular watches on the market. The G-Shock revolution was started more than 30 years ago by Japanese engineers Kikuo Ibe and Yuichi Maruda. This was at a time when watches were mainly used as a simple tool for finding out the exact time. Kikuo and Yuichi came up with a new concept. They developed a watch that could be dropped from a height of up to 10 metres without the risk of serious damage, with a water resistance of up to 100M and an extended battery life. Today, G-Shock watches are known for their extreme resistance to shocks, dust, centrifugal force, magnetic fields, water resistance up to 200M and a massive sports design with the structural use of carbon, stainless steel and glass fibre reinforced polyurethane. The G-Shock models are further characterised by excellent sensor equipment, in which an altimeter, depth gauge, barometer, compass or GPS have an irreplaceable place. For selected models, automatic radio signal reception from atomic clock transmitters and Tough Solar power supply are a matter of course. The most popular and most customer-sought G-Shock watch series include the G-Steel, Mudmaster and Rangeman series.
